Business Presentation

Last March 14, 2009 at ACSAT, Aurora Blvd., the Grade 5 Galing Mo Kid (GMK) students presented their business plans to the investors. Students were all dressed up like businessman and businesswoman, wearing long sleeves and tie; and skirts and blouses.

Mentors, volunteers, Hands On Manila board members and friends were there to support the students.

Thank you to those who made this event possible: to the donors and sponsors, to the untiring support of the schools, principals and teacher coordinators; to the volunteer-mentors who have spent countless hours teaching the students; to the volunteer consultants who took time off from work to hold special sessions with the students. Special thanks to Marilou Prudente, Chowking for the food, and ACSAT for the support and for providing the venue.

Water Water!

Last December 6, 2008, the Grade 4 GMK students visited the La Mesa Treatment Plant
where they were lectured on water purification and distribution.
Students also toured the La Mesa facility to get a closer look
on how water gets from the plant to their faucets at home./

Students of Nueve de Febrero at the dam.

Engineer shows the students where the water
from the plant comes from.

Engineer shares how important it is to conserve water
and how they can do it at home and at school.

Students eagerly raise their hands to answer the questions
asked by Engineer.
